Spray Foam Insulation in Greece, NY

Is your basement cold and damp while the rest of the house never quite holds its temperature? Spray foam is often the answer. It expands to fill every gap and forms an air barrier as it cures, sealing the leaks that make older Greece homes cold in winter and humid in summer. Greece Insulation Pros installs spray foam for basements, crawl spaces, and rim joists across Greece and Monroe County. Call (585) 565-8698 to set up your free home energy assessment.

Spray Foam Options We Install

Open-cell spray foam. Lighter and more flexible, it expands to fill larger cavities and helps dampen sound. A cost-effective choice for interior applications.

Closed-cell spray foam. Denser, with a higher R-value per inch and a built-in moisture barrier. This is the one we reach for on rim joists, basement walls, and crawl spaces where moisture is a concern.

Where we typically use it: rim and band joists (often the biggest air leak in an older basement), basement walls, crawl spaces, and attic roof decks where a sealed attic makes sense.

Joist Spray Foam

Most homes in Greece are mid-century, and that era built leaky rim joists and unsealed crawl spaces. Pair that with lake-effect winters off Lake Ontario and humid summers in the 90s, and those hidden gaps cost you comfort and money all year. Sealing them is exactly where spray foam outperforms other insulation.

Basement and Crawl Space Insulation

Do your floors feel cold no matter how high you set the thermostat? In a lot of Greece homes the culprit is an uninsulated rim joist or a vented crawl space underneath. Closed-cell spray foam on the rim joists and walls seals the air leaks and slows moisture at the same time. The result is warmer floors in winter, less humidity and that musty basement smell in summer, and a more even temperature through the whole house.

Rebates That May Apply

Rebate programs may be available to help with the cost, and they change from year to year. Contact us and we will tell you what you currently qualify for. See our insulation rebates page.

Open-cell or closed-cell, which do I need?

For basements, crawl spaces, and rim joists where moisture is a factor, closed-cell is usually the call. For interior cavities and sound, open-cell often makes more sense. Closed-cell is more expensive than open-cell.  We confirm during the assessment.

How We Install Spray Foam

Wondering what actually happens when we spray foam your home? The process is straightforward, and we keep it clean from start to finish. It begins with finding where your home is leaking air and ends with a sealed space that stays warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Here is how we do it, step by step.

Step 1: Free home energy assessment. We find where your house is leaking air and where foam will do the most good.

Step 2: Recommend the right foam. Open-cell or closed-cell, matched to the space and the goal.

Step 3: Preparation. We protect the surrounding area and prep the surfaces.

Step 4: Installation. We apply the foam evenly to the target depth.

Step 5: Post-installation inspection. We check coverage and leave the space clean.

Start With a Free Home Energy Assessment

Spray foam pairs naturally with attic insulation for whole-home comfort, and with wall insulation to seal the gaps in between. Not sure which you need? The free assessment will tell you. Call (585) 565-8698 or contact us today.
